Shaun Clancy
Founder, IRISH AMERICAN BASEBALL HALL OF FAME (IABHOF)
Shaun founded the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame in 2008. The IABHOF was located inside Shaun’s restaurant, Foley’s NY, until the restaurant closed in March 2020. The IABHOF was restarted in 2022 as part of the Irish American Baseball Society and Shaun remains heavily involved in the Irish American Baseball Society as the Founder and President Emeritus of the IABHOF.
Patrick Smith
Vice-president, cultural outreach & affairs
Patrick is a talent acquisition manager based in Alexandria, VA. Originally from Massapequa, NY, he developed a strong connection to Irish baseball more than two decades ago, when his uncles, Chris and Kevin Foy, played for Ireland’s National Baseball Team. In 2023, he joined the Irish American Baseball Society as the Assistant General Manager for the Irish Wolfhounds’ inaugural season. Since then, Patrick has spoken at the Irish Consulate in New York, marched in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, and helped induct Jack Curry into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame at Yankee Stadium.

Sportswriter, Statistician, Author
Scott Orgera, a Bronx-born sportswriter and statistician with more than three decades of experience, has covered thousands of MLB and NFL games, as well as other major sports. He is a member of the BBWAA, and his work has appeared in the Associated Press, Baseball America, Baseball Prospectus, FanGraphs, Forbes, and Sports Illustrated, among others. He also co‑authored the critically acclaimed 976‑1313: How Sports Phone Launched Careers and Broke New Ground.
