Irish Baseball Regional Youth All-Star Games Announced

Games Will Showcase Top Players in Multiple Age Groups

New York, NY (March 4, 2024) – The Irish American Baseball Society has announced the creation of the Irish Baseball Regional Youth All-Star Games.

The games will be played in regions throughout the United States in August 2024. Games will be held in three age groups, based on school grades in the 2023-2024 school year.

“This is the next step in our effort to bring together the Irish American community around the game of baseball,” explained Irish American Baseball Society Founder, John Fitzgerald. “Baseball is the national pastime of America and it’s a game with a deep connection to Ireland and Irish Americans.”

To qualify for a spot in the games, a player must submit an online registration and attend an in-person tryout.

“The tryouts and the All-Star Games are open to all players, regardless of their family’s ancestry,” explained the program’s National Director, Dan Kennedy. “This is a youth baseball event, first and foremost, with great coaches, great ballparks, instruction and development, and special guest appearances. We expect heavy interest and participation from Irish American families, but we will not turn away anyone based on their heritage.”
