Hall of Fame pitcher Jim Palmer joined Shaun Clancy of the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame for a wide-ranging interview on life and baseball. Palmer, who was inducted into the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame in 2023, discussed his career, the current state of the game, and his journey to discover his own Irish roots.
Palmer shared memories of getting the call from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and his Cooperstown induction in 1990:

Later, he shared stories of his formative years as a young pitcher and the challenges he faced along the way. He also spoke highly of the coaches and managers,including Cal Ripken, Sr., who influenced him and helped his development:
