On June 5, 2025, Pirates manager Don Kelly was honored with the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame’s Irish Diaspora Award.
The award was presented at PNC Park in Pittsburgh before the team’s Irish Heritage Night game. Jim and Katie Leyland, along with Michael Moog of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, made the presentation.
The Irish Diaspora Award recognizes Kelly’s pride in his Irish heritage and his contributions to the game of baseball. Congratulations, Don!
