The Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame made its mark at the MLB Winter Meetings in Orlando, as Shaun Clancy inducted MLB Network’s Tom Verducci and Brian Kenny—two of baseball’s most respected voices who’ve shaped how the game is understood and celebrated.
Kenny’s roots trace to County Roscommon through his father, Charlie Kenny, and grandmother, and to County Fermanagh through his grandfather. Verducci’s heritage runs through his great-grandfather, Edward Corrigan, who emigrated from County Longford.
Clancy also connected with fellow Irish American Baseball Hall of Famers Steve Garvey, Sean Casey, Brian Cashman, Pat Murphy, Brian Snitker, and Pete Caldera—capping a memorable week.
