Mike Trout Receives Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame Award

Baseball star Mike Trout was presented an award from the Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame.

Angels slugger Mike Trout is the proud recipient of the “I Didn’t Know He Was Irish” Award! The award was presented at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida, by Irish American Baseball Hall of Fame Founder, Shaun Clancy.

Our research team has traced Mike’s Irish roots back to the Fitzgerald clan of County Limerick!

The “I Didn’t Know He Was Irish Award” is awarded to players, coaches, media personalities, and executives who have Irish roots but don’t have an Irish surname. Trout joins Orioles slugger, Ryan Mountcastle, who recently received the award during spring training in Sarasota, Florida.
